The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

What a fab car...

My Saab just turned over 250,000 miles...

...hows about that then!

How many tonnes of CO2 has that baby pumped out in the last eight years!!

Anyway thanks to Mister Saab for shipping Morph'n'Hoov and generally the PA and lights to all the Reoffenders gigs. He'll get more of a rest now we've got Iggy (the van).

Gigs and Gigs and Lottsa gigs...

All year, I've been working on getting more gigs in more and more venues, and gigs have come in one or two at a time.

I've just experienced what I refer to as The Great Diary Opening! All the landlords pop down to WH Smiths to get their new diaries and then book bands for the following year. In the space of 2 weeks, we've had 10 venues book the band throughout next year!

Our gig list has gone absolutely nuts and we're now the busiest band on Lemonrock. Cool!!! Next year is gonna be insane!

John Peel Night No. 2

John Peel
2 years now since John's last radio show and The REOFFENDERS were out again at The Royal Oak in Exminster doing a show for John. We did a special show of just 70s Punk from the heyday of the Punk Explosion when John was out there playing the records nobody would play (as he always did!)

Cheers to Greg for sound and Eventime and Marnie for two other great sets on the night.

First Gig at the Lansdowne

On Saturday, we made our first trip to Dawlish, to the Lansdowne Hotel. We've all agreed that there is a certain excitement about playing a new venue, and the Lansdowne is a peach. And it's always a good sign when the audience are crying for more... at the soundcheck!

Tosh took over most of the stage area with the guitarists in front of her. But they never stay still so they were soon with Hoov and I infront of it. There was much dancing! You guys know how to rock!

And speaking of rock... Indesit and I appreciated the good beers on offer too. Red Rock from Bishopsteinton for him, and O'Hanlon's Yellowhammer for me. Nice to have good beer, and nice to see local breweries supported. Well done Ray, you've got a crackin' pub there! Cheers for the booking (and the repeaters next year).
