The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

REOFFENDERS storm BMAD ....

... Well we thought we did!!!

We had a great time tonight, playing on a stage that accommodated Mr Hoover's ego! We were very nervous beforehand but once we got onstage, it was great and it was fantastic to see people dancing around and joining in with Stop in the Name of Love. The balloons seemed to go down well with the ankle biters!

It was very wet so thanks to everyone who stuck it out in the rain to see us. We had a couple of new songs in there, The Middle (Jimmy Eat World) and our new encore, Leaving on a Jet Plane - inspired by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

Thanks to Radar for all of his work organising the bands and to Kelvin, Garreth and the BMAD boys for sorting a great weekend. It certainly didn't look like the first time you'd done this!

When can we play again? :-)

The Final Mix is done...

Thanks due to Greg at Old Mill who went through the songs one last time to put together the REOFFENDERS first CD outing.

There'll be ten tracks on the CD, and we'll be banging it out at gigs for just three quid... "wot a steal"... we'll stick something up soon with tracklisting and album art.

Last practice tonight before the big BMAD gig. I think everythings OK. We'll just run thru the songs and then spend the next few days worrying about it. The 5 day forecast on BBC Weather was for a clear, bright day on Friday, with a max temp of 18degC, which wont be half bad.

First Newton Abbot Gig

Paul has got us a gig in Newton Abbot in June, at the Fox. They've just started putting music on there and by all accounts its a nice little venue.

Looking forward to it

The Lime Tree - Sat 2nd April

The Lime Tree gots its first taste of REOFFENDERS mayhem on saturday night, and i reckon those that were there pretty much loved it!

I was very impressed with the pub as a venue. Great beer and company and a great place for the band to play with lots of room for "Hoover antics" and space for the foolhardy to dance.

Radar came up with the goods on the night, so well done mate. Strange highlight for me was returning from the break and doing "Injured Popstars"... with all those hits in the setlist, I really felt that this was the one that they loved the most... well its a chuffin' good song so I suppose i shouldn't be too surprised.

...and after a storming encore up stepped Terry Moulinex himself to do a live karaoke of "Teenage Kicks" - nice one Terry.

So thanks to Terry and his whole crew for making us feel so welcome and making the whole thing such fun for us.

We're back at the Lime Tree on Saturday 4th June... so all you Paignton funsters will know where to come.
