The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

Hotpoint Loses His Reoffenders Cherry

Justin HotpointHotpoint made his live debut last night at the Old Barrel in Exmouth. What a cracking atmosphere!

It seems like ages since we last visited the Barrel and its always a venue that we enjoy going back to. Just before we launched into Into the Valley, Hoover shared the tale of our first gig 3 years ago (a support slot for Crush UK, at the time we were called Them Pesky Kids) which took place at the Barrel. We'd played 9 songs - our entire repertoire and were requested Into the Valley. Don't know why it took us so long, but we got there in the end!

Hotpoint jumped around like a mad thing, machine gunned the audience with his bass and adopted the Guitar God pose of foot on monitor. He'll fit in fine!

Thanks to Simon and Alison, new managers at the Barrel, for keeping live music and for inviting us back. We had a ball and look forward to our return in May

A Punk Rock Mission!

I've been phoning more venues today with a view to getting more gigs and our diary is getting a bit interesting in places.

We've got our silly month in July with 8 gigs (5 of them within 7 days) but today I added a bit of a mission for myself! In June, I'm off to Hyde Park one Saturday to see the mighty Foo Fighters. I'd already booked a gig at the Mount Radford on the Sunday evening (which does require me to not sing along with the Foos all night - a mission in itself). Today, I added a Friday night in Chard to our gig list.

So that's Friday: gig, Saturday: drive to London, go mad for the Foos, crash out, Sunday: drive back from London and play a gig.

Crikey! I'm going to be buzzing my socks off by the time I get back for the gig on Sunday so it looks like a damn good weekend all round!

Big News in the S.O.B. Camp

Our friends at S.O.B. are full of beans at the moment having got into a competition which could see them play with the Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs and the Artic Monkeys. Full info. to follow soon.

If you're free on April 7th, get a ticket from the S.O.B. website and support Kev and the gang in Bristol (coaches are being arranged from Exeter).

As a result of their impending stardom, they've been pushed up the bill for the BMAD festival. We're on two slots before them so we can party at each others' gigs again! Hurrah!
