Last night, we played at Bodmin's 65th birthday party in Wellington. Bodmin had told guests that it was punk theme fancy dress and it really helped everyone get in the mood. There was a great assortment of wigs, some brilliant home made outfits and more tartan than can fit in the whole of Scotland!
Bodmin had also given us 6 bottles of beer and cider to give as prizes throughout the night for people getting into the spirit. Hoover was making up the competitions on the fly which ranged from "Most Tartan Worn", "Best Eurovision Song Contest Dancing" and "Lippiest Bird in the Room"!
Ewan Oosami joined us in his DJing role and assured me there would be no Come on Eileen or Dancing Queen, instead there was Iggy Pop, Janes Addiction and Green Day. Superb!
A top night and a pleasure to be asked to play. Cheers
