Well last night it was The Strand in Exmouth's turn to get the REOFFENDERS treatment... and it was another success!
It was Morph's turn to suffer in the throat dept. She all but expired during Celebrity Skin, but Radar rushed to the rescue with a glass of water and she soldiered on like a good 'un.
We shoved Teenage Kicks down the list this time and i think it took its rightful place in the big finale of hits at the end of the set. The punters do seem to like that one don't they.
"The REOFFENDERS dancers" gag seems to be a hit too. This time we had four be-wigged revellers at the front doing the most appalling travesty of the dance moves i've ever had the misfortune to witness... we done kids, you were fab! It was certainly one for the camera phones.
Halfway through the set Radar managerially moved in to secure a follow up gig (date to be confirmed).. nice one Mr Manager. He also got NAKED APE booked to play next week. They are fantastic so you'd better be there for that.
Finally a word of our stage-mates for the night, the impeccable KING OLIVER. It's easy to entertain with a bunch of tried and tested covers like we do, but these guys brought some beatifully crafted original stuff to the party. With a chilled out relaxed jazzy feel King Oliver are also one to watch. They've got a website but i can't find it this morning. Guys, if you email me I'll put a link here to it.
Oh, and it was supposed to be a "battle of the bands", but we just had a fab time. Who knows who won and who knows if we care. Both bands had a great night and secured bookings to return. If either of us make it to the final... well that would be a bonus.
