The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

What a Weekend!

The REOFFENDERS had a fantastic weekend. Thanks to Terry and everyone a the Lime Tree for organising such a great event yesterday.

We were abit unsure how we'd be received yesterday, being on first at 2pm while everyone was eating their sunday roast but we went down a storm. John had a flash of inspiration in the morning and charged £3 for charity for people to nominate friends/loved ones as dancers during Stop in the Name of Love.

Lou, official groupy, took the victims off to the function room to show them their moves and to let them choose their wigs. All three dancers were fantastic and it was obviously entertaining to everyone else in the pub. Big thanks to Lou who did a fantasic job with the dance training and also stood at the front doing the actions so that our new recruits could copy. Twas magic!

Our offshoot band, Calling Orson, took to the stage two hours later doing a 45 minute set. It was our first gig and went really well. When we have a full set, The Lime Tree will give us a gig.

There then followed some serious drinking by myself and Indesit, which helped me accidentally spend £25 on Marilyn Manson merchandise in the charity auction. Radar spent slightly more on a set of Ginger Fish's drum sticks!

We stayed for the rest of the bands and everyone did really well. Tweak Freaks and Naked Ape were particularly fine.

In total, The Lime Tree raised £800 for the Derriford Hospital Baby Unit. Job well done everyone!
