Last time we played at the New Quay Inn in Teignmounth, we discovered the hard way that the bar staff have a little balloon phobia. Oops. So we were on our best(ish) behaviour on Friday night.
The New Quay was rammed full all night but the highlight was Seasons in the Sun where a pub full of people all swayed from side to side (often in a different direction to us - very off putting) and bobbed up and down in our punky Terry Jacks song.
We never normally play a song twice in a night but Maria had begged for us to play it again as they'd been busy serving beer the first time we did it and hadn't been able to dance. It was a beautiful punk rock moment!
I reckon that was our best gig at the New Quay so far and we had a ball, so thanks to everyone who was there on Friday
