On Friday, we played at a charity gig at the Phoenix in Exmouth with our mates at Letters to Leaders. They played a great 45 minute set before we took to the stage.
It was very hot in Exmouth and it got much hotter and sweatier, with much jumping about as we played for almost two hours. Normally we give Brucie a break halfway through when we play Injured Popstars but I made an executive decision with the setlist and kept him working hard on those drums! Sorry mate :-)
Highlight of the night for us was Good Riddance as everyone in the audience joined in and raised the roof.
Saturday took us to Torquay, relatively new territory and a new venue. We had more space to set up and we took advantage of that in our performance. There'll be no standing in a corner shuffling feet for this band!
Indesit and Hotpoint took their silliness to a new level during Jetplane with Justin sitting on Paul's shoulders while they played. If anyone got a photo of that, please let me know.
The ritual of balloon bursting body slams continued after the gig with me scoring my first! Yay!
