The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

Triple Decker Christmas Cracker a Roaring Success

Thanks to everyone who made it to the Cat and Fiddle on Thursday. It was a great night and we made £150 by collecting in buckets. This was then added to when the pub agreed to waive the £50 room hire which the bands had put up themselves so £200 (well, £202.20 to be precise) in total was a nice tidy sum. The money has been donated to St Petrocks Homeless Charity.

The Makeouts started the night at 8.30pm with a storming set including songs from the Misfits and The Ramones. It was their first ever gig and they were great. The REOFFENDERS took to the stage and played for about 50 minutes with much silliness included in the set of classics. Another quick changeover and S.O.B. took over, giving us a chance to have a beer and dance around like nutters.

We finished the night with all of the bands joining together for a punk rendition of Silent Night. I passed the mike around everyone for each line of the song so that everyone got involved. I felt like Bob Geldof!

Thanks again. Same time next year?
