The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

Rockers Live!

The REOFFENDERS hit the M5 last night for our first outing in Taunton. We were to support a band called Indeception so had been asked to do a one hour set.

Sound checking was at 6pm, and as Hoover and I arrived we felt safe in the knowlege that Indesit and Le Creuset weren't too far behind (Cillit-Bang was arriving abit later but Indesit had all his kit for sound checking).

Now bearing in mind that Le Creuset had told us that he used to live in Taunton, we were sure that he'd have no problem finding his way. Wrong!!!! He was the only one to get lost, although to give him credit the town centre had been closed for Christmas Festivities. And he had to cope with some interesting reversing manoevers in the car park.

9pm came and still no customers - the closed town centre had obviously had an effect. But we played anyway (cos we like it) so gave Tank and Pat a private gig. Towards the end of our first set, two customers came in. Hoover was quickly on first name terms with them and they were very appreciative.

Despite the sparse audience, we still had a good night. The sound equipment that Tank has is rather impressive with a 7kw rig turned up to 11! When we soundchecked, Indesit plugged in and was turned up as he played a couple of riffs. You know when you get that goofy "it rocks!" grin off Indesit, the sound is good.
