I was saddened by a call this morning from Darren at the Rock Gardens. They've had noise complaints from one neighbour and as a result are having to close their doors on Sunday.
They're in a residential area and can hold around 500 people which gets noisy. However, they were granted a license to be a music venue in the first place, presumably with no neighbour complaints.
They are seeking an alternative venue at the moment, but my heart goes out to Darren and Terry. They've put a hell of a lot of work, time and money into making that a cracking venue and were getting gigs such as Enter Shikari which is both high profile and a major coup. It seems they're a victim of their own success.
